Most Ghanaian shoppers prefer to pay with Mobile Money, so accepting it is the single most important thing your online store can do. Here is how it works with Creio and Paystack.
What the customer sees
- They add products to their cart on your store and tap Checkout.
- They enter their name, phone number, email and delivery address.
- A Paystack payment window opens. They choose Mobile Money or card and approve the payment on their phone.
- They land on an order confirmation page, and you get an order alert.
What it costs
Paystack charges a small processing fee on each payment. In Creio this fee is added on top of the customer's total at checkout, and the customer sees it before they pay, so you receive the full price of your products. Creio never holds customer money.
How you get paid
Paystack settles to the mobile money number you gave Creio. Payouts happen on the next working day, usually in the morning. New payout numbers are checked and approved before you can take payments, so set this up early rather than on launch day.
